Looking for Core Members
Have you ever wanted to be a CSA Core Member?
Astoria CSA is looking for a few good people. Two of our Core Members will soon be out of commission (or on limited commission)Â with new babies to handle. We’re looking for some help. We need your commitment, job tasks vary.Overall needs will be:
 -Attending Core meetings (about 1 per month depending on need)
- Help with administrative decision making (should our t-shirts be green or just white?)
- Putting in extra volunteer hours at site distro if needed
- Be “on call” for anything else that might arise
- Help with organization of Astoria CSA events when needed
Job Title Descriptions:
- Newsletter Editor (can be 2 people)
Are you good with design? The Newsletter Editor will request stories, recipes, pictures, etc from Astoria CSA Members. Edit and assemble them, along with CSA announcements/ events, in a weekly (or bi-weekly) newsletter and distribute. Distribution will entail having a few paper copies on hand at weekly distro and emailing (or posting online) for all members to access. This newsletter should also combine The Golden Earthworm Farm’s weekly newsletters (or snippets of) and any announcements from our other farms.
- Site Coordinator
The Site Coordinator is in charge of scheduling volunteer times with Astoria CSA Members. This Site Coordinator should also be available for distributions to help train volunteers working for the night and at the end of distribution to help volunteers clean up. The Site Coordinator will also keep up good relations with our distribution site, Cafe Bar.
- Phone & Donation Point Person
The Phone & Donation Point Person will retrieve and answer phone messages from the Astoria CSA mailbox. (S)he will also organize pick-ups and act as a contact person with our donation site that will receive our extra shares)
