I was snooping around Hellgate CSA’s website and found their posting on local organization, Build It Green. If you’re looking to use recycled materials on a building project, grab a new couch, or a place to donate materials, check it out (more information and address after the drop). They also have an electronics/battery recycling center for the public.

Build It Green! NYC, is New York City’s only non-profit retail outlet for salvaged and surplus building materials; sponsored by the Community Environmental Center (CEC) www.cecenter.org. Founded in late 2004, our warehouse opened in February 2005.
