Green Carts for NYC

fruit-stand.jpgIf anyone is interested in speaking up for the Green Cart Initiative to bring affordable fruits and vegetables to communities in need, and improve the well-being of New York children and families, please read on. Show your support for this healthy option by attending an upcoming meeting, writing in, signing an e-petition, or calling your local rep.

1. Keep posted, the Citizens Committee for Children is initiating an e-petition that will go here.

2. Attend the meeting: The City Council’s Consumer Affairs Committee is holding a hearing on GreenCart Legislation Thursday January 31st @ 10 am in the Council Chambers.

4. Call Consumer Affairs Committee Members to thank identified co-sponsors and urge all members to pass the bill out of committee.
