A note from CSA Pasture, our meat/ dairy providers about using PayPal to make payments.
Dear CSA Members,
Please read this is if you use or want to use Paypal to pay your delivery of additional products from the farms at Pastured Meat and Poultry. We have noted that in the past months there has been some a lot of confusion
regarding the Paypal option for payment of invoices. We would like to try to clear up the steps of the process.
WHEN SIGNING UP ON THE WEBSITE
If you would like the option to use your Paypal account to pay for orders, you must login and go to Member Information page and enter the following information. Make sure the same email address you use for our newsletters, your order receipts and our invoices is your Paypal email address. Check the small box at the bottom of page that says “Pay by Paypal” this will enable you to use link to the Paypal button on your invoice. Checking this box only allows you the ability to pay by Paypal; that you can use Paypal if you want to. You can always write a check at the distribution site, it is not mandatory that you always use Paypal.
PLACING AN ORDER
During the month prior to the delivery deadline, you can place an order and receive an order receipt. This is just an estimate of the order value based on average sizes of items that are billed by weight. You cannot pay this order receipt with Paypal.
THE DAY BEFORE DELIVERY
In the days between the deadline and the delivery date, we pack the orders and finish packing when all the products arrive from our neighboring farms. When we finish packing, we enter all the weights of the items and prepare and send your email invoice. This is the email that has the Paypal link in it IF you have signed up to use Paypal. The Paypal option is used by clicking on the “Pay now” button just above your CSA and name information on the invoice. If you do not click this button to enter Paypal and authorize the payment, you have not paid the invoice! You can also log in to Paypal and “Send Money” in the amount of the invoice. Either technique will work to transfer the payment to us. My Paypal email address is nkdbrown@lewiswaitefarm.com
REPORTS AT THE CSA PICKUP LOCATION
After all the invoices are sent, we prepare an order list to send with the delivery to help the site coordinators who distribute your orders. The Summary order list that we provide the site coordinators has a column for Paypal indicating Yes or No. A YES indicates your ability to pay by Paypal, and does not mean that you Have paid or the you must pay by Paypal. You can pay by check if that is more convenient for you. You must click the button on your invoice to access your Paypal account to authorize payment. A NO indicates that you have chosen not to pay us by Paypal and will bring a check to the distribution site.
