Departs ARROW at 9 AM SHARP!
Returns to Astoria at 5 PM

Bring a bagged lunch, water and sunscreen *** Strawberries are $3.75 a quart on the farm

9 AM Sharp- Depart ARROW
11 AM- Arrive at Golden Earthworm Farm
Pick Strawberries, picnic lunch, walk the farm
2 PM- Head over to Brieremere Farms (our fruit share providers)- not yet confirmed, but likely
Opportunity to speak with the farmers, buy pies and jams!
3 PM- Depart Long Island
5 PM- return to ARROW

Dear Members, CSA order reminder for June 19th,

We are writing this reminder for our delivery coming up on Thursday, June
19th. The order deadline is on Saturday, June 14th at midnight. We thank you
for indulging us an extra day for preparation of the orders as the number of
farms we coordinate with has increased and the number of orders has increased. Thank you for your support, we love our farm life, as busy as it can be at times!

When you place an order you will notice our new link on the website for our new and greatly improved website.  We are leaving the old site in place for the time being but please feel free to use the new site.  We have tested the site but you are the best testers.  You can set up a new link as www.csalewiswaitefarm.com .  Your input is always noted and we will be happy or any and all comments.  If you have any problems with this or anything else, please feel free to contact us.

Thanks to all for coming out to the first Green Drinks! We had about 45 enthusiastic green-minded folks at the very first Queens Green Drinks and some great connections being made.

For the month of June, Tuesday, June 24th to be exact, we have Socrates Sculpture Park hosting an after hours Queens Green Drinks featuring fresh fruit smoothies AND their internationally renowned outdoor sculpture museum. Their current exhibit, Waste Not, Want Not, features artists using primarily found, recyclable, repurposed objects to form a complete exhibit. Socrates also organizes and plays host to a variety of programs including the Summer Solistice Festival, yoga & tai chi, an international film series and more, all for free! Astoria CSA offers you much more than vegetables. We also have a partnership with the Lewis-Waite cooperative of 15 farms and artisanal producers in and around Washington County, New York. They give us the opportunity to buy grass fed beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, eggs, honey, maple syrup, yogurt, artisan cheeses and bread you would otherwise have to brave Manhattan for, all delivered to Arrow with your Golden Earthworm veggies. Items are packed (and in some cases baked, yum!) to order.
