Fundraiser for Just Food
Just Food is the NYC organization that helps CSAs get off the ground. They are working with Chipotle on a fundraiser this Wednesday, July 30.
Grab a burrito for Just Food…
On Wednesday, July 30th, visit Chipotle’s newest location at 320 Park Avenue between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. For a $5 donation, you’ll get a big, gourmet burrito, chips & salsa, and a fountain drink. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Just Food’s programs.
Chipotle purchases 25 percent of at least one of its produce items for each of its 730-plus restaurants across the country from small and mid-sized local family farms. Chipotle’s meats are naturally raised, and the chain has made innovative efforts to source regionally from purveyors including Niman Ranch and Joel Salatin’s Polyface Farm. 25 percent of its bean mix is organic, and its cheeses and sour cream are made from rGBH-free milk.
Just Food helps New Yorkers of all income levels connect with local family farmers; grow more food in city gardens; establish farmers markets in low-income neighborhoods; learn the skills and benefits of cooking with local, seasonal produce; gain access to healthier, fresher food at food pantries and soup kitchens; and advocate for better food and farm policies.
Come out and join us - your contribution helps bring healthy, fresh food to all New Yorkers. Thank you for supporting Just Food!

Support Just Food
Would you like to be one of the pioneers working to build a better food system for NYC and the region?
Just Food is a non-profit organization that works to make fresh, nutritious, locally-grown food a viable choice for all New Yorkers, while establishing the connections between healthy farms, healthy communities, and a healthy environment.
Your donation to Just Food will help us develop markets for our regional family farms, strengthen and expand Community Supported Agriculture in NYC, improve health and nutrition in NYC neighborhoods, help expand urban food production through The City Farms, and build the network of New Yorkers who are aware of and act on food and farm issues.
