FRUIT STORAGE INFORMATION
As soon as you get home, immediately remove the tree fruit (peaches, apricots, etc.) from the plastic bag. They can ripen out on the counter, but must be placed in the fridge as soon as they turn ripe & soft. Berries should always be stored in the fridge.

More Coop Agitation…
Ok, I’m still unpacking but at least the computer is hooked up this week. I stumbled on this article from the Times about the new food co-op in the South Bronx and I think, why not here? If you think it’s a good idea to pay less for better food than you can get at Trade Fair or C-Town or Key Food during the 6 months we don’t have Golden Earthworm deliveries (and also for the things we can’t get through CSA) sign the co-op interest sheet at distro and we’ll get a meeting of interested people together for some rabble-coop-rousing!
